About Me

"Working with clay is a great way to escape from the fast paced world of computers, cell phones, and other technological advances.  Taking a lump of clay and turning it into a functional form  provides me with a sense of artistic accomplishment.  I enjoy using the items that I make."

My pottery is made to be used.  Most pieces are thrown on the potters wheel and fired in an electric kiln to over 2000 degrees.  These pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe.  You can enjoy using my pottery for many years.

Background Information
I was a special education teacher in Chicopee for over 28 years.  I retired in 2003 and moved to Cape Cod as a full-time resident.  I have been working in clay since 1994.  I attended classes and workshops at the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, Creative Art Center in Chatham,  IS 183 Art School of the Berkshires, the Guild Studio School in Northampton, and Holyoke Community College.
I have had many pottery tips and suggestions published in Ceramics Monthly and Clay Times.
I am a member of the Cape Cod Potters.
